Photo Policy
MEMO: Mandatory Photo, Video & Documentation Requirements
Effective Immediately
This policy applies to all technicians, tow-truck drivers, mechanics, and vendors representing Joe’s Roadside Assistance / JRS Roadside Techs / Mobile Mechanics.
To ensure quality control, fraud prevention, and accurate dispatch documentation, the following rules must be followed on every job.
No photos = No pay.
No documentation = No pay.
1. REQUIRED PHOTOS & VIDEOS FOR EVERY JOB
A. Vehicle Identification

License plate (if accessible)
-
VIN number (dash or door label)
-
Customer ID for every service
B. Scene Documentation
-
Scenery photos of the area
-
Vehicle position and hazards
-
Tools/equipment being used
C. Job Photos
-
Before pictures
-
After pictures
D. Videos
-
Before video
-
After video
(Highly recommended for protection and dispute prevention)
2. SERVICE-SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Tow Truck Operators
-
Vehicle on the tow truck
-
Tie-downs & chains
-
Delivery location photos
Mechanics / Tire Techs
-
Parts/products installed
-
Serial & model numbers
-
Receipts for any items purchased (tires, parts, fluids)
3. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Upload to Towbook FIRST.
If Towbook is not working:
Text or email all documentation to:

Every text or email MUST include:

Towbook Ticket Number, OR
-
Invoice Number, OR
-
If neither is available:
-
Date of Service
-
Service Address
-
Missing identifiers = payment delay or non-payment
4. MILEAGE REQUIREMENTS
If you are not using Towbook GPS:
-
Take before and after photos of your mileage
-
Must clearly show the odometer
If not submitted, a default mileage amount will be applied.
5. PAYMENT VERIFICATION
Before leaving the scene, ALWAYS verify customer payment shows:

Blue checkmark on receipt
OR -
PAID text confirmation
6. CUSTOMER REFUSES PHOTOS? CALL DISPATCH IMMEDIATELY.
If a customer refuses photos, ID, VIN, or any documentation:
📞 Contact Dispatch IMMEDIATELY.
Do not continue the job without instructions.
In most cases, you still have a GA (Guaranteed Authorization) and can proceed only with Dispatch approval.
Never argue with the customer.
Never skip documentation without Dispatch approval.
7. NON-COMPLIANCE PENALTIES
Failure to follow these requirements may result in:

Non-payment for the job

Delayed payment
-
Suspension from rotation
-
Permanent vendor removal
